This site has been setup in Honour of Cindy Collier, who passed away on the 16th of April 2020.

Many of you will know Cindy Collier as simply Mrs Collier, she took great joy in her work at Tiptree Heath Primary school as a Teaching assistant and worked with many children over the years. Whilst going about her day around Tiptree, and even in Colchester she would be stopped by former students saying hello and thanking her for her help and dedication to their education. It gave her great joy to know that she had positively influenced their lives and their education.

Some of you will simply know her as Cindy. Known to be attentive and caring deeply about the children’s education. Seen as always professional in her interactions with the children. You may also know her for such antics as hiding a literal skeleton in the medical room. Or perhaps you are familiar with finding cutlery, teabags or other assorted kitchen paraphernalia in your pockets whilst on playground duty. Just don’t forget to shut your lockers.

But to us she was Mum, Grandma, Auntie, Daughter Sister and Wife. We will all miss her dearly and cannot imagine what the future will hold without her. We thank her for her help and guidance in life, her compassion and her love. We Miss you. We love you

During Cindy’s last days of life, she was admitted to St Helena’s Hospice in Colchester. They took care of Cindy with care and compassion, making her as comfortable as possible. During the pandemic they could have easily stopped us from seeing Cindy, however they compassionately allowed us to see our Mum/Wife during her last days whilst managing social distancing from others.

This is why we have decided to create this tribute to Cindy and ask you to help us raise money for St Helena Hospice. They looked after Cindy and helped our family through this hard time, and we wish to repay their kindness and compassion as best we can so that this kind of care can be available to others in future. We ask you to donate what you can and share this with your friends and family in hopes they can do the same.
